FAQ
WHAT DO DISPATCHERS DO?
As a dispatcher, we assist carriers in finding and booking loads in accordance to the carrier's preference. On behalf of the carrier, we handle all necessary paperwork in finding loads, confirming pay rates, and booking loads. We dispatch all details to the carrier, including (when able) weather alerts and traffic alerts.
WHY SHOULD I HIRE A DISPATCHER, IF I CAN BOOK LOADS FOR MYSELF?
In truth, the term SHOULD sounds like obligations. As a carrier you CAN hire a dispatcher IF you would like to delegate the responsibility of finding and booking continual loads. Moreover, dispatchers help keep truckers moving; help solve issues that arise during pickup, drop-off; ultimately taking away a lot of tedious work of finding and booking loads.
WHAT DO WE CHARGE?
We charge a flat rate of 10% per load. We make our best efforts to negotiate this fee with the brokers; however, if the broker is not willing to negotiate price, this fee must be covered from the carrier's portion. Example: If the cost is $2,000, our 10% is $200. We will negotiate with the broker to see if they are willing to pay $2,200. In this situation, our 10% fee ($200) is not coming out of the original price of $2,000. In this same example, if the broker is NOT willing to negotiate the pay rate, the $200 fee will be deducted from the $2,000 reducing the carrier's portion down to $1,800.
